Mr. Hyland currently serves as the Director of Westchester Community College's Yonkers Cross County Extension Center. Throughout his business career he has held a variety of executive and management positions, including a stint as Executive Vice President of CI4NET North America, the US Subsidiary of a UK based econet firm specializing in e-commerce and emerging technologies. Prior to joining CI4NET, he was the Executive Vice President for Unico, Inc., an Internet incubator based in Stamford, CT, where he managed various business-development projects and analyzed potential acquisitions. His executive experience also includes serving as Interim CEO of RewardWorld.com, and Executive VP of Papps Capital Group, a Wall Street money management firm.
Mr. Hyland was also a project manager at Walker Digital, a high-tech think tank and patent company in Stamford, Connecticut. The first company to be spun off from Walker was Priceline.com, where he served on the startup management team. At Priceline he worked on various marketing, financial, and technical projects and he was instrumental in launching the Priceline.com system.
Mr. Hyland holds an AS is Business Administration from Westchester Community College, a BS in Economics from The Wharton School of the University of Pennsylvania, an MS in Leadership and Strategic Management from Manhattanville College, and is currently pursuing a doctorate at Columbia University Teachers College.
Mr. Hyland served honorably for four years in the US Marine Corps Infantry where he earned the rank of Corporal meritoriously; he serves on the Yonkers Chamber of Commerce Board of Directors, the Yonkers 55 Plus Advisory Committee, and is the Director of Development for Alpha Beta Gamma International Business Honor Society; he lives in White Plains, NY with his wife Claudia and three children Steven, David and Rachel.
